Stewardship

Along with a gloomy wet summer, our congregational givings were equally gloomy.  The Bon Voyage campaign raised approximately $3200 but we are still experiencing a $9000 deficit in our offerings.

It has become crystal clear that the low summer attendance is a major factor.  How can we ease this burden every summer? Enrol in our PAR program (Pre Authorized Remittance).  What is this?

Each month, your church donation will automatically be withdrawn from your bank account.  This can be done once, twice a month or even weekly.  This works just like having your household bills automatically withdrawn from your account.

You will receive offering envelopes and may use them as needed (special givings).

Advantages of PAR:

1 Your church now has a guaranteed monthly income (especially important during the summer).  Hopefully, we can end the yearly reduction campaigns.

2 2.  No more filling envelopes, trips to the bank or searching for cash on Sunday mornings.

3 Withdrawals are flexible.  Funds can be withdrawn more than once per month (whatever you want).

The Stewardship Committee will host two sessions after church to offer more information on PAR and to assist sign-ups, October 1 and October 22.

We will be available to answer questions, help you complete forms, if needed.  If you want to complete the paperwork and register that day, please being a VIOD cheque.  All paperwork is confidential.

Once again, we will be kicking off a deficit reduction campaign to raise $9000 to meet our 2017 offering obligations.  For every $500 given, a Christmas tree that the Sunday School children have made, will be placed on the alter.  Please mark your offering envelopes “Debt Reduction” so we can track the money raised.

Thank you for your continued support.
